Oh. My. God.
Is he really promoting a greens supplement?
Damn right I am. It’s happening.
Does anyone really get enough fruits and vegetables in their diet?
I mean, honestly, anyone? Do you?
If you answered yes, how are you measuring the adequacy of your intake each day? Are you measuring every single serving of each fruit and vegetable portion? How effectively are you extracting and absorbing the food that you eat?
Have you had blood testing or saliva analysis done to verify that you’re truly absorbing most of nutrients from the food that you eat?
Many questions and aggressive questions, but on average, it’s safe to say that most of us are completely air-balling on valuable nutrients.
Achieving sufficient daily nutrient intake is incredibly difficult to measure.
You might feel like crunching on a few carrots here and there is enough to satisfy your daily recommendations, but your body needs more than a couple of carrots to realize it’s highest level of operation.
I will always be a whole food first advocate, as a whole food diet is what humans were designed to thrive off of. Lean meats, veggies, fruits, nuts and yes, even grains all have a valuable place in a balanced diet.
But the reality is that it’s 2016 and our lives move faster than ever. Many of us are away from home more than we are actually at home. This always on-the-go lifestyle can make consuming healthy foods difficult. I speak from experience.
I often joke with my wife that a person rarely ever be able to eat as healthfully as they do while at home. At home, you’re in control of everything. Once you leave, you’re at the mercy of what’s available around you.
Hey, I’m not making judgements, I am in this position as much as anyone else. Hustling has it’s price.
My digital distribution partnership with Organifi is one that I’m extremely excited about.
It provides my readers an introduction to a quality greens supplement. Whether or not you choose to integrate it into your lifestyle is completely up to you, but what I can say is that I am highly impressed with this supplement.
The early reviews have been all around profoundly impactful and positive.
Here are the ever important nutritional facts:
Personally, I chose to start taking a greens supplement because it give me peace of mind and insurance that nutritional gaps are being filled. I gulp my down first thing in the morning roughly 15-20 minutes before I take my first bite of breakfast.
My decision to begin taking a greens supplement was as much economical as it was nutritional.
I created a scenario where I assumed several things…
Assuming I was going to pay full price (which is foolish because Organifi offers heavy discount codes), I was looking at roughly $209.85 for a 90-day supply.
If I was going to be taking it every single day for the 90 days, we are looking at $2.33 per serving.
As far as value goes, that is a steal. Please consider that you won’t find a single edible item anywhere that delivers a nutrient profile anywhere near what a serving a Organifi does for $2.33.
I wasn’t going to assume this out of pure stubborn pride, but the reality is that one serving of Organifi is probably above and beyond my previous veggie and fruit intake, even on a day where I am eating a ton of each.
So, as I mentioned previously, the nutritional value of a greens supplement has always made sense to me, but once I actually stopped to consider the economics of the purchase, it was a no brainer. I’m foolish for not pulling the trigger sooner.
In conclusion, the health advocate sob story…
The nutrients that our body extracts and absorbs is an amazing series of events. It can provide increased levels of energy. It can support our immune systems, boost athletic performance and keep us young from the inside-out. For some, it can change lives.
Several years ago, I became brutally Vitamin D deficient. I became so lethargic, I didn’t want to walk the trash to the end of the driveway for the garbage man. It was a bizarre situation for me because I am a relatively high energy person.
I supplemented consistently for several weeks and the situation reversed. I won’t say that this made me die hard believer in supplementation, but it was a reminder that our bodies can shift off-center at times, and we have the tools to bring it back to center.
If we make the effort to ingest quality calories, the human body is naturally calibrated to know how to partition those nutrients to maintain or improve health. Organifi has a measly 25 calories per serving. Chew too many sticks of gum in a day and you’ll eclipse 25 calories people.
The main piece of information I want you to take away from this page is that effective integration of a greens supplement into a diet will fill important nutritional gaps.
Of course, the magnitude of our nutritional gaps is unique to each individual. Your gaps might be larger than mine, or mine large than yours. You may not have any, which in that case, good for you! It’s the beauty of being human, we are all uniquely different.
Before I close this out, I do want to kill the “superfoods are a magic pill” theory that some people subscribe to.
A greens supplement is not a substitution or a license to eat poorly. Food quality and quantity are still extremely influential when it comes to bodyweight, bodyfat, performance and general well-being.
Consuming a greens superfood supplement should be an adjunct to a rock solid diet.
All of these questions are difficult I know, but I really don’t want anyone to get confused about what I am promoting here or to whom.
The common sense approach fitness and nutrition is what I subscribe and what I encourage all of you to subscribe to also.
Beat on the basics, mix in some sexiness here and there, and live your life.
